SkyDrive

Out of Microsoft comes…not a new concept, but for once a useful concept. The SkyDrive. Not that I am one to usually plug a Microsoft product (thats actually a lie…) but the SkyDrive really takes the cake for useful products for once. Found over at the Windows Live site, the SkyDrive is basically 25gb of online hard disk for you to dump your shit on, and link your friends to. It works surprisingly well for this task, and all you need is a Windows Live account (which you already have if you use Messenger). Apart from resizing your gigantic high-resolution photos for you if you use their photo uploader, or having insanely long links for things (which I’m sure TinyURL.com can fix), its usefulness knows (almost) no bounds. Unfortunately for some, their 50mb filesize may get annoying but thats what winrar is for right? For once I’ve posted a useful, non-bitching post and I wasn’t even paid for it. Whats the world coming to?

Focus

What I’m currently lacking, is focus. Trying to write a blog, read several others and at the same time re-organise my movie, TV series, music and pornography collections on the comedown from the ever increasing doses of painkillers is quite vexing.  Or maybe its that I’m singing to shit 80′s goth electronica and I’m being distracted by the terrible backing vocals I’m providing. Whatever the case, I’m finally getting my blog updated for the first time in…a while.  I’ve added a few sites to the Blogroll. Sittingbear’s Ramblings, which I’ve not actually read properly yet as my focus is in the shitter, and Deus Ex Why Zed, which is quite an interesting read if you’re into short stories, snippets, poetry and the likes.

I never thought it would happen, but my Playstation 3 has become a staple of my daily entertainment, and with the addition of Trophies for just about every game I have, going through and earning them all is hugely satisfying, even if I don’t get anything out of it other than a little graphic and some “experience points” for my gamer tag. I’ll probably post more about this in the future, as to keep my posts smallish.

Soundwave music festival in Perth was majorly fucking awesome. Nine Inch Nails and Innerpartysystem rocked my face off, as did Bloodhound Gang and Alice In Chains, although admittedly I wasn’t really into AIC until after I saw them. Great show. Being crushed in the NIN moshpit was a bitch, but atleast I got some good pics. And video – albeit the one from right up close is not complete, but the one from further back is, even if the sounds a little bit crackly. Trying to hold my phone steady while being smashed in the back is a task and a half, but I kinda managed. Videos as follow:
